Never alone....
my eyes open softly and I notice once again I am waking deep within the hold of the night. my body rises and I am pulled to my computer, its gentle mac logo glowing in the night like a beacon directing me on my path.
weeks have passed, each night with my rising at 1 am to experience what calls deep from within me. my fingers glide easily over the keys, the sound of the clicking placing me in a trance as my body wants to return to bed but my spirit longs to stay connected to whatever energy is flowing through me.
since August the flow has increased and I notice my blissfulness expanding, my resolve strengthening, my ability to love and forgive over flowing. what is flowing feels so sweet and even knocks my socks off- and that is saying something!
I write this note to you, the people I am connected to, electronically, spiritually, karmically to remind you that you are never alone.
even in the midst of darkness, love penetrates.
as i finish the book, know all that flows forth includes you.
Thank you for your continued support and love - your friend, Tina Marie
Hold Please
I recently switched over to AT&T Uverse from ComCast seeking better service for internet and a more reasonable bill for all the bundled services I have - you know the full meal deal of Cable, High Speed Internet, and Digital Phone Service.
I had thought my intention to the Universe (Uverse) in this case was clear and that what I would receive from the switch would be adoration for my new vendor in providing great quality and increased customer service.
Somewhere in the transmission of my request to the Universe(Uverse), the wires or shall I say electrons got rerouted.
Yes my life in general is great, no complaints but when Uverse arrived I received little of what was promised by their sales team. Lower bill no way - Doubled the first month because of first and last month billing ( they forgot to let me in on that one ). My regular monthly bill will the same as Comcast - so no long term improvement there. The better quality promised has not yet manifested as it is still interrupted like Comcast. “So what have I gained?” I ask myself.
Then on a Tuesday (Holistic Living Show Day for all the fans out there) the phone line goes out - absolutely dead. Me, a talk show host needing phone lines to carry on my show, am not pleased. I go to my back up line, which I find is also not working. Hmmmmm? What am I to get in this experience?
I am doing my very best to keep a PMA - Positive Mental Attitude. Breathing through my frustration. Reminding myself it is Tuesday - i.e. - Live Show Day - and only 4 hours from air time.
Using my cell phone, as all other lines of communication short of the carrier pigeons I keep in the back yard were all dead, I entered uneasily into the world of automatic voice prompted call routing.
The phrase “Hold Please” has become synonymous with an “arrrgghhhhh” response by the caller. Do you do it? You hear the automatic voice response computer voice say “Hold Please while I connect you with the right department”, or “Hold Please while I connect you with an operator”.
After an impromptu disconnect with operator number one and needing to start over, a fouled up misdirected call within the system and a “can I speak to a live person” yell erupting from my throat in a “if I do not get to a live person next I will cancel this service plea” I witnessed myself becoming the very person that all help desk people hate.
I worked a help desk for a few years and knowing the “psycho user” persona, took a breath and prayed for a live person to answer as I pressed the 0 button on my cell phone.
I let go and opened up asked myself “What is the worse that can come of this today?” Answer: dead phone lines, no live broadcast today, silence - hmmm, silence - that is not so bad. For someone who talks for a living, silence is more than golden - it’s like a day at the spa.
Slight detour - “Silence is Golden but Duct Tape is Silver” ; )
As soon as I saw what blessings could come from this experience and slowed down, help came. In fact, the service agent was scheduled to arrive within two hours. The customer service agent, Val, also credited my account with a month of service for all my inconvenience. I smiled.
Through the experience the Universe reminded me to “Hold Please”. Life ended up being good - which it is all the time anyway, even if I cannot see it.
Have you ever been in a situation where the Universe has kindly asked you to “Hold Please”? Where what you want may not be coming at a pace that meets your demands?
Where might you be having communication issues with the Universe; where have your phone lines been disconnected and need servicing?
When we get into those modes of doing, and expect the world to do with us at the very same pace - short circuits arise, asking us to once again get in connection with our source. I know for myself when I came from connectedness first, all flows well - including my telephone connections.
God Bless.

Open to myself..... an internal dialogue
As I sat this morning opening my mind to the flow of the Universe, I felt an uneasiness within.
As the uneasiness arose, invited by my spirit to reveal to me an insight of where I am on my Earthly journey, I took a deep breath.
Sadness, judgement, stress, demands, fear all seemed swirled together in a soup that I did not want to taste. But the truth is I had been drinking from this soup for a few months.
Ever since I began to look at my dwindling bank account, to the appointment calendar that had fewer names written, to the credit card statement that arrived and I hesitated opening, I had been allowing the sadness and fear to grow.
The very teachings I bring to my workshops, to my clients I was reminded - I now needed to embrace more than ever.
I breathed even deeper into the pains and told the truth.
THE TRUTH:
The doors to my clinic are still open to those who seek me, and I still have appointments each week.
Web purchases are now possible with the store my web guy added.
When the kids start summer break next week, I will have more time for appointments.
The workshops are selling out even faster now.
The flow on the Universe has me in a safe and generous embrace.
My financial position does not define who and what I am to the Universe.
All is well and I am humbly grateful.
Fear subsides when faced with Truth.
Today I breathe and know that I am cared for.
You are too my friends.
With love, humble servitude to the powers that lift me and respect to you,
Blessings, Tina Marie
You are a mirror into my soul. If I am willing to accept you for who you are fully - with all human imperfection, only then I will be able to see myself. - Tina Marie
A Note to my fellow Americans... from Tina Marie
Usually silent about my own opinions, even in my own household, where I hold space for everyone to develop their own ideas and thoughts, I write this article after waking this morning and smelling the fresh Texan air and sensing something profound in my chest.
The past years have afforded a unique perspective into American politics, foreign affairs, US diplomacy and the education of the American people. Since the 1980’s the interest in American politics and the march that America as a world power has taken in the middle east has seemed like a distant thunder. We could hear the sounds on our televisions and see the images on our screens but nothing struck so close to home to have us get involved. Yes, we sent troops and prayed for them. We even placed magnetic decals on our cars and trucks displaying our support. Some of us sent boxes of goodies and others, like me thought it could not possibly last this long. Yes, our homeland was shook when the tragedy of 911 happened in 2001 and we, for a while rallied on the side of our nation and made a stand against terrorist but that soon subsided and we returned beneath our ant hills back to our mundane lives full of stress, medical bills and worries that we each held onto without much thoughts of change and greater possibilities. Yes, there have been pockets of participation in what this country stands for but on the whole we have sat back and watched, listened to the distant thunder and hoped the morning would bring better news.
Something new has begun and I write this to ask if you feel it too. In the last 11 months, specifically the past 4 months, this election, this political campaign has brought with it a new air, one that I want to breathe. I taste hope on my tongue. I smell a freshness that wisps through, in between the fears and worries, the thunder that approaches even closer. I feel more alive this campaign than any of the past elections. Where my twenties and early thirties saw me through a Bush, a Clinton, and another Bush squared, a time in my life when activism mattered and my opinions, lord knows, were changing and shared proudly. But when it came to politics I was complacent.
I can feel it coming this time, unlike any time in my past. A new surge, a desire to understand, to participate. A time when I believe my participation will finally matter and carry impact. I compare it to the feeling my father and mother must have felt when John F. Kennedy appeared on the scene. To this day the excitement, the reverence of his presidency remains, and I not due to make an appearance for another 6 years was not even on the planet yet. Can you feel it?
At a time when even the rich are fearing how they will support their families, where the common thread that unites us all is made from the very core principals this country was based on, where the pursuit of life, liberty and happiness seems once again enough to focus on. We are the very voice that will lead us out of where we are into the new light of what is to come. And I give this to you, as this is the angst that rose me this morning from my bed and led me to the computer to share this note with you, my friends. We are not only the voices that will bring a new freshness to this country, we are the hands, the feet, the hearts. We are the doers that without, America would never have been built. Please take time in your day to reunite with the principals we founded this country on. Please commit to participating in the rebuilding of our nation. Get active, be a part as we form a new whole. Now is the time as the nation appears to be crumbling that we find ourselves and build this nation back up from the mighty foundation our forefathers laid; men and women like you and me, who wanted a new life, a new chance and found hope in this beautiful land.
I support you all as we hold hands and march forward into the thunder. As the storm passes a new light emerges. God Bless you all - Tina Marie Jones
Q. ‘’Can you share your thoughts on the need for prayer in our lives?’’
A. Prayer is a catch all for so many different disciplines and belief systems that when I speak of prayer to large groups, I believe at some level there is a percentage of participants who tuned out. Each of us carry our own bags of grief, pain, despair, remorse that we use as filters to our connection with the divine. So using the term prayer has evolved for me to a much different, yet universal description.
When asked to share my thoughts on prayer as a spiritual discipline, I now speak to being in love. We form our connection with the divine and with the divine in all experiences from love. From the wanting to be in connection with a force that fills us, from wanting to be sourced by something higher than us, although a fallacy of the mind. Love forms the bond that allows the messages from the Divine to come into your consciousness. Opening yourself up to love and to being loved forms that connection and keeps it strong.
If what people refer to as 'prayer' develops that sense of love and connection in them - that sense of being in love with the divine we all possess- and they are able to project it outward to all the universe than that is true divine prayer.
When I speak of simple prayer it is usually a conversation with what we believe God to be. Most of us speak our 'requests' in hopes of being heard and our 'prayers answered'. I am hear to share that sending feelings out to God in an emotional conversation is stronger and more immediate that speaking any words.
To answer your question, emotional conversation with God is required to elevate our soul's connection to our physical lives. Developing a time and place in your homes, in your lives for regular emotional conversations with your perception of the divine presence, whatever it may be, opens up a space for bliss and peace in your life.
The above passage was taken from the new book by Tina Marie Jones titled "Allow & Receive... Harnessing your divine potential in every moment" Available December 14th, 2008 at www.youpublish.com or by visiting her website at www.tinamarie.com. In her upcoming book, Allow and Receive, Tina Marie explains how to establish a daily spiritual ritual and why it is so important, not only for our own personal evolution, but for the evolution of humanity.
Q. “Are you explaining that we are to send love to that perception of God?”
A. Yes - send love, not words. You may not know that words are not required. Silence speaks louder than the words you chose. In fact many times the words do not contain the very message you want to have spoken because, as you have undoubtedly experienced at some point in your life, words seem inadequate. In true divine prayer the message we want to have God hear is of feelings not of words.
So when in prayer, feel yourself ‘in love’ with God. From this place you will experience love in all areas of your life.
Focus on the feelings and that is what is communicated to God. You are the creator of your experience, not God. You are the filters by which you experience the events in your life. If God were your filter, all would be love, all would be good, all would be bliss.

Reflective Meditations
This morning afforded me more than one message in my meditation:
as I love so will I learn
trying is a circle that leads to nowhere
each step is a move forward, regardless of your perception
God remind me that I am your hands,
your eyes, your body in this world
take me to the places you want to go
have me witness the experiences you want to know
use me as your instrument in this life
for this I am ready
stop proving and start living
there is nothing to prove - you are
there is nothing to fear - you choose
there is nothing to hate - you are love
God Bless you all,
Tina Marie
Taking your meditation into the world
I had a friend of mine ask me this week how it is that I am calm and centered in the process of living despite the experiences that she sees others, including herself, react to poorly.
I answered ‘walking meditation’.
Without asking for more clarification, she asked how it is that one can be in a meditative state while doing all the things there is to do in a day. As a mother, business woman, wife and friend, she shared her thoughts that the spiritual teachers of the past and many of those of our present seems to have no children, are unmarried, and have a larger amount of time to dedicate to their spiritual practices.
I have been here in my thoughts before, in the place where I compare the experience of another to my own and in comparing I have judged that my life is more difficult, more demanding and harder the stay centered and out of reactivity. I have had the thoughts that spiritual masters and teachers who travel to mountain tops, caves and retreat centers are in a sense cheating. I have also had the thoughts that dedicating my life to increasing my energy, staying in the present, watching my thoughts is all for not and that it is way too much trouble for the small amount of gain. These thoughts and more like them are not foreign to my consciousness. It is how I have been with the thoughts that has transformed my awareness.
When I mention ‘walking meditation’ I refer to a term I coined when speaking to others at a seminar about how to retain the meditative consciousness with us in our pursuits.
As a meditative practice develops, first in baby steps then into longer and deeper experiences, so does a ‘walking meditation’.
When I emerge from my meditation in the morning I feel and sense the sensations of my physical and emotional bodies. I feel a sense of protection, as thought spirit is watching and being with me in that place. As I walk out of my meditation room to the world outside, I carry that observer consciousness with me as I continue to at various times return to the sensations of my physical body and my emotional body, as if they were pieces of clothing resting on my skin. After time I became more at ease with the practice I took it a little deeper.
I learned to reflect on my body as if it were an orchestra, each organ, a separate instrument, each cell a musical note. At times when I could feel the physical stress in my body, I sent focused thoughts and attention to my heart, visualizing it beating, seeing the blood pumping in and out and through my body. This focus as an observer of the physical is the same which I teach for immediate self-healing.
In emotionally challenging situations, or those that can be perceived as such, often I would return for a moment to this place of observation then return to the situation to observe as it unfolded. As if a movie played, I watched. From this watching I would find meaning and purpose in the experience outside of the participation in it. The thought stream as I call it, would be thoughts such as ‘interesting’, ‘I wonder what will happen next’, ‘I am so grateful to be here now’, ‘what is being asked of me in this moment’.
If another is participating in this experience I would have thoughts about how their experience may be happening for them, placing myself in their shoes as they watch the movie. The thought stream would be similar to, ‘I wonder how they are feeling’, ‘it seems this person is angry and hurt’, ‘their experience is unfolding for them as well’.
Each person has their own path; their own unfolding. Some do so in the midst of families, others alone. The truth is that we are all alone in our observing of our experiences. The same observing is done in the kitchen with three hungry kids or on top of a mountain with beautiful clouds hanging in the sky.
When we learn how to observe our experiences form outside ourselves, we take away the attachment to the situation. We are then able to relate to each experience from a place of strength, love and consciousness.
Blessings to you all.
